The first phase: clear the existing garden and begin at the rear. The old wall came down, footings went in, and blockwork started for the raised patio.


A small garden rebuilt in three parts — terracotta patio at the door continuing the floor inside, curved corten bed and open space for the kids in the middle, and a raised terrace at the back for eating outside. Porcelain steppers in cobble link the three.

Strip foundations poured, cured and ready for blockwork. Finished heights set out on site so the client could visualise the levels, and existing rubble reused as backfill behind the patio.

Blockwork, drainage and DPM complete. Backfilling with existing rubble and MOT, ready for compacting and tiling.


Back patio clad and tiles laid, Cotswold cobbles in and corten edging set. Material palette coming together — cladding stain in progress.
